Here are a few of the things that I know:
I like music. It makes me really happy. A really good jam is the best kind of meditation. My bass guitar, Nell, is mighty sexy and all sparkly purple. My family just purchased a beautiful mahogany Baldwin baby grand piano with this amazing rich tone and such sensitive response. It doesn't have a name, though the wonderful out-of-tune upright I play at school (yeah, the one with the missing keys) is named Horace. At least, that's what I call him. But then, he's not mine.
I also like writing. I have this vast techno-fantasy world that is the main source of my ever-present distraction from reality, and has been since I was thirteen or so. It's being hammered into a novel, right now, in a slow and plodding sort of way.
I also like brains, and all of the sensory systems mediated by them. I spend a lot of time thinking about the limitations of those sensory systems--there are almost certainly aspects of reality we're missing entirely just because we haven't evolved the physiological capability to percieve them. Humble yet, arrogant human?
I am studying brains and bodies and molecules (aka science) at New College in Sarasota.
I like New College, too.
Sometimes, I still dream of changing the world.
